Do you really need a credit card in Canada? What is the most important reason to consider getting a credit card as soon as you arrive here? Having a credit card and using it responsibly can be a great way to build strong credit which you'll later need when applying for a mortgage or other loans. But what if you don't have any Canadian credit history yet, or your income is insufficient to apply for a credit card?
