Starting 1st LGBT Group In A Hostile Area: 20 Years Later

Navigating through infighting among LGBTs and hate from the anti-gayers, after starting his hometown’s first LGBT group in 2003, Jeff led the group amid the equality era of the 00s and 10s. In this small-town community in the surrounding counties, voters passed both anti-gay Proposition 22 in 2000 and Proposition 8 in 2008 by around 70-80%. This is the story of how Jeff persevered and connected local LGBTs with heterosexual allies both politically and socially at potlucks.
