Stephen Hawking Named In Unsealed Epstein Case Files

Newly released filings have revived allegations of sexual misconduct with minors against the late Professor Stephen Hawking. The documents come in the wake of Virginia Giuffre's lawsuit against Epstein. They were originally filed as part of a defamation lawsuit Giuffre brought against Epstein's co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell, in 2015. The documents suggest that Epstein told Maxwell she could offer money to Giuffre's friends in an attempt to disprove her allegations. In a 2015 email to Maxwell, Epstein mentioned that Giuffre had claimed Hawking participated in an "underage orgy." "You can issue a reward to any of Virginia’s friends, acquaints, family that come forward and help prove her allegations are false. The strongest is the Clinton dinner, and the new version in the Virgin Islands that Stephen Hawking participated in an underage orgy," reads the email from Epstein.

Pictures from 2015 showed Hawking on Epstein’s private Caribbean island, where he attended a conference on gravity funded by Epstein. Hawking, who died in 2018, is among a slew of names in the documents, including former US presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump.
