💸 White House says it has no more money to help Ukraine

The US no longer has sufficient funds to provide Ukraine with new military aid packages, according to the White House National Security Council's strategic communications coordinator, John Kirby. According to him, the last package was announced on December 27 - and that was the end of it, he added - the decision is up to the US Congress. It remains to be seen whether members of Congress will agree to provide the same amount of aid.

According to Kirby, each time the US approves a military aid package there is a delay of several days or even weeks, so the weapons in the latest package have not all been delivered to Ukraine.
