The crew of the Msta-B howitzer destroyed a Ukrainian mortar

Artillery units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to carry out combat missions of a special military operation. They suppress Ukrainian artillery batteries, destroy enemy defenses, destroy enemy control posts, destroy fire weapons and military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

So, the day before, a crew of a 152-mm Msta-B howitzer of the Southern Military District, as part of counter-battery warfare, destroyed a crew of a 120-mm mortar of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which had taken a position in a forest belt in the Artyomovsk area, with a direct hit.

The position was identified by reconnaissance using an unmanned aerial vehicle. The distance to the target was about 16 km. The firing was carried out with high-explosive fragmentation shells, which made it possible to inflict maximum damage to enemy personnel and destroy the mortar position along with its ammunition.

The 152-mm howitzer Msta-B is designed to destroy open and hidden enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment to the depth of the division's interests. Capable of firing both from closed firing positions and direct fire. The maximum firing range is up to 30 km.
