In this video, Tayab Ali, the Director of the International Centre of Justice for Palestinians, talks about the significant opportunity for OIC and Arab League states to take strides in the pursuit for justice for Palestinians, as South Africa has called upon the ICJ to examine alleged war crimes by Israel in its ongoing assault on Gaza.
Ali asserted that this is a chance for the OIC and the Arab League states to contribute to a historic process that could redefine the application of international law in conflict resolution and promote justice and accountability.
He highlights the importance of moving beyond rhetoric and initiating a structured legal examination of serious allegations, emphasising the ICJ's independence from external pressures.
