Pilot After 50 #1: The Inaugural Episode - Flying airplanes is an expensive hobby! I recently passed my check ride and became a certificated private pilot, after the age of 50. This inaugural episode looks at the cost of aviation headsets and how to save some money on them, including a review of a generic headset that's retailing for just $85! It's the first in a series that will explore the unique challenges of learning to fly later in life, after 40, after 50 or beyond.
