American Ninja is a product of the Ninja Movie Craze of the 1980s that stars Michael Dudikoff as Joe, The American Ninja who has no recollection of his past. After an assault by an Army of Ninjas and saving Patrica, The Colonel's Daughter (played by Judie Aronson), Joe is accused by some of his superiors of cowardice, collaboration, or sheer incompetence. However, his superiors being The Colonel (played by Guich Koock) and The General (played by John La Motta) are working with Victor Ortega (played by Don Stewart) who wants to sell Military Weapons on the Black Market all the while The Black Star Ninja (played by Tadashi Yamashita) vows revenge on Joe for killing his ninjas
