Lots of people on social media have been arguing with real Whovians who have been trying to state the fact that Doctor Who is now being controlled and influenced by Disney.

However, showrunner Russell T Davies has once and for all ended this debate by openly saying in an audio commentary for the latest Christmas special "The Church on Ruby Road" that one particular scene was only inserted into the episode because Disney requested it.
