Back in colonial days people trading in cash had to budget for the possibility of someone like Ned Kelly stealing their money. The costs of transport, storage, theft, and staff training were known to exist before we even had cash and were trading in gold and silver. Knowing those costs exist traders have included them in their prices. You, I, and everyone else who buys goods and services are currently paying to use cash because it is already factored into the prices, and always has been. Anyone attempting to add a charge for using cash is a greedy pig double dipping on fees.

If I take my car to my mechanic and have him replace the current needle based fuel gauge with a digital fuel gauge will that save me money? It does nothing to alter the amount of petrol I use, and I have to pay the bill for the mechanic's labour and parts.

It is obvious that these meters will be used to remotely deny or restrict access to water. They can do nasty things such as only having the water on between 2 A.M. and 4 A.M. so you have to choose between sleep and water, and they can claim they have not cut you off completely. It is a totalitarian nightmare. The so called journalist must be retarded.

Also, if that silly old duffer in the story wants to save water he should stop watering the leaves and water the ground where the roots are.

I can see where this is going. It starts with A.I. acting as an index for the bible. Then it will move to A.I. rephrasing the bible to modern language. Then they will use A.I. to extrapolate the bible to cover modern inventions such as aeroplanes, firearms, and viruses. This musing is turning into one long complaint about journalists. Did anyone ask what was wrong with using grass? Yes, I understand the shock value of suggesting livestock eat bugs, but what reason did they give for not using grass? It is natural, it absorbs the C.O.2 they keep harping on about, it is a fundamental part of the environment. But nobody thought to ask what was wrong with it?

And nobody thought it would be useful to point out most of the bugs they would be feeding livestock come from facilities owned by the billionaire effetes?
