Charlotte Yvette Mr. Fenton's Hardware Store

Mr. Fenton is the owner of Westly's Hardware Store. It is a family business he inherited from his dad Westly. He is going to have a big sale starting the following Monday. Joque Montay and his daughter, Charlotte Yvette stop into Westly's to see if Mr. Fenton has a tool that Joque needs to finish a project at home. Mr. Fenton asks Charlotte Yvette if she would like to help him but handing out flyers advertising the sale starting on Monday. He even offers to pay her to do this. After her dad agrees that it will be okay as long as she stays in front of the store where he can see her, she takes the stack of flyers out front and starts giving them to those who pass by the store. Soon she gets bored and ignores her dad's instructions. Charlotte Yvette walks down the street and purchases an ice cream cone from Your Treat using the money given to her by Mr. Fenton. Instead of handing out the fliers like she promised, Charlotte Yvette tosses them into the trash. Once she finishes her ice cream treat, she heads back into the hardware store. Mr. Fenton asks her if she handed out all the fliers. Charlotte Yvette lies and tells him that she sure did. Joque and Charlotte Yvette head home. Mr. Fenton closes up his shop at the end of the day and walks to his car. However, he sees the pile of fliers in the trash can. He is very disappointed and calls Joque. How can Charlotte Yvette make amends for this huge lie that she has told. She learns that once you lie to someone it is very difficult to get their trust back.
