SWISStrong 12/20/17: Women Working Wonders donate money for DigniCap
6 years ago
The group Women Working Wonders at Sparrow Hospital is really living up to its name after donating money for a piece of cancer equipment so unique to Mid-Michigan, you'd have to drive more than an hour to find it somewhere else. In this month's SWISStrong report, we take a look at that equipment - the DigniCap. Once patients finished their infusion, the cap has to stay on for another 60-90 minutes so it can be brought back to a normal temperature. There are side effects like headaches, but nothing doctors say prevent people from completing the treatment.
