'LIKE AN EXPLOSION'

New York City is rocked by 1.7 magnitude earthquake sparking power outages across Roosevelt Island. Residents on the island between the boroughs of Manhattan and Queens reported a blast and their buildings shaking just before 6 am on Tuesday, prompting a large emergency response.
Mary Greeley explains in her video that these are earthquakes. They are recorded in databases! New York, Maryland, Ohio, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania felt them. On average, the tremors are 2.4, in some places up to 3 and 4. She says that these are deep-focus earthquakes.
