The Phantom Chapter 10 The Chamber Of Death

A repeat of the "fire dance" from chapter nine of Columbia's The Phantom reveals that the Fire Princess, actually Ruby Dawn, a chorus girl imposter hired by Dr. Bremmer (Francis MacDonald), escaped the blaze through a secret exit. When his turn comes, The Phantom (Tom Tyler) follows her lead, greatly aided by Devil (Ace the Wonder Dog) and Moku (John Bagni). Her fraud exposed, the "Princess" is promptly assassinated by Drake (Kermit Maynard), another of Bremmer's apparently unlimited supply of henchmen. Meanwhile, Zarka (Angel Cruz), the old Atari chief who may know the whereabouts of the lost city of Zoloz, is discovered in a mysterious trance. The only person capable of saving Zarka, Dr. Bremmer quickly makes one of his frequent disappearing acts. Believing Bremmer to be kidnapped, The Phantom enters a room rigged with a trap door leading down into what the good doctor describes as a "big surprise for the man who never dies."
