Green Day’s “American Idiot” Faux Rebellion On New Year's Eve

Green Day, in an attempt to make their music relevant again, did a cute little lyrical switch for their song “American Idiot,” originally released in 2004. In their performance for New Year’s Eve in Times Square on Sunday, instead of “I’m not a part of a redneck agenda,” lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong sang, “I’m not a part of a MAGA agenda.” If they wanted to get some headlines, they at least succeeded in that. #greenday
