Moms on the first day of Christmas break vs the Third day #momproblems

I was wrapping gifts last night and heard….

What sounded to be the entire living room and kitchen falling apart and a heard of elephants darting around. I came around the corner from the hallway to see my husband and kids running around acting like maniacs. We have a rule that you can’t run in the living room (you gotta take all the running outside or to rec room… ) but sometimes you got to bend the house rules a little and have some fun, and if something breaks it breaks… just hopefully not my kids or husband 😅

my husband didn’t know that I was sitting there watching the whole thing laughing and I hear him say all right…We got to stop before your mom gets upset. 😅 I thought to myself before Mom gets upset 🤣 he would get upset if it winds up in an ER visits or something breaks. 🤷🏼‍♀️ he just said that as an excuse because he was tired.🤣🤣

What rules do you have in your house?

I don’t let the kids eat very often in our living room because they leave crumbs everywhere and then the ants find it, but that’s also why we turned our house into an open concept so they could sit at the kitchen island and be a part of everything going on in the living room 🤷🏼‍♀️
