Edward Seaga: PROMOTER of Unfettered CAPITALISM, 'THUGGERY', and Jamaican 'RUDE BOY' Culture

Former Prime Minister of Jamaica, Edward Seaga, was/ and still remains one of Jamaica's most enigmatic political characters. Much of his life is shrouded in mystery. He was known to some as a skillfull economic guru or wizard, while to some he is known as the AUTHOR of the deregulation and neoliberal economic framework -- economic ideology that has destroyed the Jamaican productive sector, and thus further cemented us into an impoverished country. To some, he is also given the moniker, "CIAGA,"playing on the word that he was an agent of the CIA, in the US effort to destabilize the Jamaican economy.

In my discussion, I referenced, to a great extent, the article written by Horace Campbell, in the online newspaper, COUNTERPUNCH, titled, "Edward Seaga and the Institutionalization of Thuggery..."
