Addressing Shortages in Mental Health Nursing
In the face of local and national nursing shortages, and more significant shortages in mental health care, the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division Nurse Recruitment Campaign is challenging candidates to apply only if they have what it takes to care for the most underserved populations. Joining us to discuss why they pursued careers in mental health nursing are Jeff Munz and Lauren Hubbard from the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division. The Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division (BHD) is the community's connection point to vital, high-quality behavioral health care. BHD empowers safe, healthy and meaningful lives by ensuring that everyone gets connected to great behavioral health care, no matter their severity of need or ability to pay. If you have what it takes to be a mental health nurse, apply at Milwaukee.gov/nursing. Or stop by BHD's nursing job fair on January 11 anytime between 2pm and 5pm.
