New Year SAME YOU.

You aren't going to stick to your resolutions. To really stick to goals for the new year there are two very important things you need to understand.

1. The new year isn't Jan 1st it is Dec 26th

2. New Year isn't the time start new things, its the time to double down on things you have already started.

I've been morbidly obese and dangerously skinny. 88kg to 57kg in 6 weeks (at 15 years old). I didn't get into to good shape and start consistently going to the gym by setting a resolution. I started 4 months before. Cemented it into my identity and life. 2023 was there for me to double down on that habit.

I was never a reader, I read but I didn't READ. I liked high dopamine videos and films. This year I started setting 30 mins focus blocks to read. I read more and more without having a goal but to become a reader. In a few months I changed my entire brain to enjoy reading. Now for 2024 I am not just deciding to start reading. I am doubling down on my new found skill so by the end of the year that 6 month head start on 2024 will have me ahead of every other "im not a reader".
