In June of 2022, we FIBs invaded Wisconsin and embarked on an Ice Age Trail beginners backpacking trip with NOW Outdoors (nowoutdoors.org). Our guide was Nick Gordon himself!

I got to test my Insta 360 camera and got a lot of really interesting shots with it. It was mounted on a York Nordic trekking pole. I also used a GoPro 3 and 5, and of course an iPhone.

Although Me and Punky both own Decathlon Forclaz Easy Fit Trek 100 backpacks, only Punky used hers. It's a nice 60L size. Mine was only a 50L, which I bought because I gave up waiting for their mens' 70L to become available for purchase. I waited for something like a year and still nothing. So I used my Osprey Atmos AG 65 instead, since it had more space. I have since purchased a mens' Dercathlon 70L and use it all the time.

Our tent on this trip was the Marmot Limelight 2-person. I love this tent. So many great features. Unfortunately it's a bit heavy (about 7 lbs). We split up the components to share the weight.

Our sleep systems were Nemo Disco 30 sleeping bags and Nemo Astro and Nemo Quasar 3D sleeping pads.

It was June, but mornings can still be cold. We brought our Decathlon Forclaz Trek 100 synthetic puffy jackets.

It was a fun 3-day, 2-night backpacking romp. We met a lot of cool people and had a lot of fun little adventures.
