Upper Peninsula University Releases Annual Banished Words List

With the beginning of a new year, also comes the annual release of the banished words list from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie.
A tradition that started in 1976, the list highlights words that are often misused, overused, or have lost their meaning over the past year.
This years banished wors are, wait for it, side hustle, obsessed, cringe-worthy, iconic, slay, rizz, at the end of the day, impact, and hack.
The list was chosen from over 2,000 nominations that came in from around the world.
