New Year's Eve 2023

XA50 footage of a bluejay on the feeder. Michigan has been plagued with 40-50 degree weather for several weeks meaning that there's rain and clouds. There is really no sunshine at all.
Lighting conditions change rapidly so I tend to use "portrait" setting so that the aperture is as wide as possible. This reduces the need to adjust the settings while filming and it accounts for the changing lighting conditions.
This is shot around 400mm at 4k 30fps.
