It aint a bug , it's how the game was made to be. So that people would play the other 2 paths with different 'builds'

You could ofcourse use it to increase to boost your stats but it will not allow you to unlock the 100% attributes achievement.
This goes for +15 strength or +6 warhammer of the Titanlord hammer.

Note: There are 2 options to get from Dirk to the '2nd exit' of the Eastern Temple.

1: You can fight your way through and beat a couple of Ghouls.
2: Seek the Nautiless hole and transform into a Nautiless [Should be near Dytar] and you can bassicly skip the ghouls [in case your not strong enough for them]

Another Note: To bypass the Spike Traps inside the Easter Temple , simply use Lavitation to float over the Spikes and activate the 'secret switch'
Or use Nautiless spell and go through the Nautiless hole , which will get you around the spike traps , but will forces you to backtrack a bit back.

Bonus Note: The 1st collected Crystal Disc in this playthrough is Steelbeard's Treasure.
