The Confederate States, Southern Democrats. On December 20, 1860, South Carolina declared their secession from the United States of America. Within the next six months, ten other southern states would secede from the: Union: Mississippi - January 9, 1861 (ratified abolishing slavery 2013) Florida - January 10, 1861 Alabama - January 11, 1861 Georgia - January 19, 1861 Louisiana - January 26, 1861 Texas - February 1, 1861 April 12, 1861, the Civil War begins with the attack of Fort Sumter. Virginia - April 17, 1861 Arkansas - May 6, 1861 North Carolina - May 20, 1861 Tennessee - June 8, 1861 April 12, 1861, Confederate forces opened fire on Union-occupied Fort Sumter off the South Carolina coast. This was the beginning of the Civil War.

My recollection on the Sumpter episode, was that the South was in charge inside the fort and had offered Lincoln a purchase deal, but the union ship sailed threateningly up to the fort, and was fired on.... Lincoln later thanked the ship's commander for provoking the gunshot as the excuse he needed to declare war on the South.... Kinda makes a difference, don't you think?? ttyl

I said nope, because I didn't see that in the info. But I looking into who the Confederate state really was. Lincoln later thanked the ship's commander for provoking the gunshot.? I think you're right it does make a difference, so I'm going to pull up that info tonight and read. Thank you for pointing that out.

Not so, Indy. The northern troops who held Ft. Sumter refused to leave. The fort controlled the bay and harbor, which impeded shipping/imports (part of the northern blockade of shipping into the CSA.) -- I invite you to read "Lincoln Unmasked," by Thomas DiLorenzo, for more information to get a broader perspective.

Whether the Confederate troops were inside the fort doesn't change the idea that they fired on the ship that threatened them on Southern soil. Nor does it change the fact that the South had made the offer to pay for the fort... Nor does it change the fact that Lincoln needed and used the gunshots as his 'justification' for declaring war. TTYL

No, Indy. Northern troops inside Fort Sumpter changes the whole dynamic. The other aspects/Facts become irrellevant... when one considers that... the northern troops REFUSED TO LEAVE THE FORT. They were part of the blockade STRANGLING the Southern economy. Yes, Lincoln "used the gunshots as his 'justification'"... but HE... DEFIED THE U.S. Constitution... with HIS "Declaration of War"... WHEN... ONLY... CONGRESS... has THAT AUTHORITY. Lincoln was an arrogant, piece-of-garbage corporate lawyer... who was a FRIGGIN' TYRANT.

Correction, Indy... ? How does one (or a state) evict an armed garrison?? DUH?!? Your "emminent domain" idea falls flat. ?? Your argument about Lincoln's justification is confusing?? -- The primary point is that ONLY CONGRESS HAS CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY TO "DECLARE WAR."

As I understand it, Indy, the Garrison on Fort Sumter was offered SEVERAL OPPORTUNITIES to leave the island. THEY REFUSED. ... THEY... made themselves... (by their Commander) enemies of the CSA... by obstructing their harbor and shipping.

And SC was talking about secession in 1832 because of the 75% tariff on Carolina goods. Lincoln wasn't without sin that's for sure.

The Tariffs were (constitutionally) imposed by the northern-controlled Congress on **imports** from other countries. That authority tied-in with the "regulation of inter-state commerce" in the Constitution. It is that "Commerce Clause" that was adulterated by Dept of (IN)Justice liars and the Supreme Court. The liars turned it 'inward' against the States of Union, instead of Britain, France, Italy, etc., in order to increase the 'power' of the Central government... and increase Congress' overreach beyond the Constitution's restrictions.

However, the dumb-schmucks in the northern-controlled Congress and Lincoln pushed the Tariffs to a breaking-point for the southern states.

No, thank you, I prefer the Archives. Thomas DiLorenzo? has written many books denouncing President Abraham Lincoln. Why would I read that stuff? I have one book on Lincoln called the Team of Rivals. My son gave it 20yrs ago that one I like, But the Archives are better.

Then you have a problem, Jackie. DiLorenzo's Bibliography is extensive... showing the "Archival" (writings from 150-200 years ago) from which he drew many of his Facts. -- I read as many of the Bibliography listings as I could get... some available on the internet. The GOP has always been neo-fascist. It goes back to Alexander Hamilton's arguments during the Constitutional Congress (as often as he could) FOR more authorities for the Central gov't. It was the northern politicians (of Hamiltonian mindset) who formed the Republican Party after the split of the original Democratic-Republican Party, which opposed the Whigs and Tories. -- That's another book: "How Alexander Hamilton Screwed up America," by Brion McLanahan. -- And, "The Founders Guide to the Constitution," also by McLanahan. If "we" aren't willing to LEARN... and "look at" Truths that are contrary to "what I believe"... then we become stagnant... 'dead,' undrinkable water. I thought I was a Republican... until I 'observed' G.W.Bush's and Cheney's illegitimate Iraq war, increase of the Police State, and infringement on the Civil Liberties of Americans (re: The PATRIOT Act.)

Thank you, Jackie, for the list/accounting of the secessions. THAT information debunks the statements that "Lincoln freed the slaves!" ...because,... the Emancipation Proclamation was signed on January 1, 1863. It had ZERO bearing on the states that LEFT the Union and created the CSA.

Now, therefore I, Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States, by virtue of the power in me vested as Commander-in-Chief, of the Army and Navy of the United States in time of actual armed rebellion against the authority and government of the United States, and as a fit and necessary war measure for suppressing said rebellion, do, on this first day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and in accordance with my purpose so to do publicly proclaimed for the full period of one hundred days, from the day first above mentioned, order and designate as the States and parts of States wherein the people thereof respectively, are this day in rebellion against the United States, the following, to wit: Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, (except the Parishes of St. Bernard, Plaquemines, Jefferson, St. John, St. Charles, St. James Ascension, Assumption, Terrebonne, Lafourche, St. Mary, St. Martin, and Orleans, including the City of New Orleans) Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia, (except the forty-eight counties designated as West Virginia, and also the counties of Berkley, Accomac, Northampton, Elizabeth City, York, Princess Ann, and Norfolk, including the cities of Norfolk and Portsmouth[)], and which excepted parts, are for the present, left precisely as if this proclamation were not issued. And by virtue of the power, and for the purpose aforesaid, I do order and declare that all persons held as slaves within said designated States, and parts of States, are, and henceforward shall be free; and that the Executive government of the United States, including the military and naval authorities thereof, will recognize and maintain the freedom of said persons.

Emancipation Proclamation (1863) President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, announcing, "that all persons held as slaves" within the rebellious areas "are, and henceforward shall be free." Initially, the Civil War between North and South was fought by the North to prevent the secession of the Southern states and preserve the Union. Even though sectional conflicts over slavery had been a major cause of the war, ending slavery was not a goal of the war. That changed on September 22, 1862, when President Lincoln issued his Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation, which stated that enslaved people in those states or parts of states still in rebellion as of January 1, 1863, would be declared free. One hundred days later, with the rebellion unabated, President issued the Emancipation Proclamation declaring "that all persons held as slaves" within the rebellious areas "are, and henceforward shall be free." Lincoln’s bold step to change the goals of the war was a military measure and came just a few days after the Union’s victory in the Battle of Antietam. With this Proclamation he hoped to inspire all Black people, and enslaved people in the Confederacy in particular, to support the Union cause and to keep England and France from giving political recognition and military aid to the Confederacy.

The fact that the guy is still alive. Without the protection of the SS. Should tell you that he is a plant. And the people who are propping him, are the same people financing the rest of the bunch competing with Trump.

He did make his billions off a shady pharma deal. I don't see him as a serious candidate, but he is on the stage saying Trumpian things that if Trump was on the stage saying those things they would excoriate him for it. Bombs are being dropped & Trump doesn't have to take the heat for it. That may be his role in this.

So since Bobby Kennedy is still alive without SS protection then are you seriously gonna say that Kennedy is ''a plant like the rest of the bunch competing with Trump''... Instead realize that the Biden act of denying these candidates SS protection is BIden's attempt to have an assassination that would majorly trigger that civil war.!! Take you trumped up charges back... ttyna

"It's going to take somebody who is not susceptible to the special interests..." Isn't Vivek Ramaswamy beholding to WEF? Hasn't WEF been doing their level-best to insert sleeper-agents into MAGA ever since 2016? Constitution says there can be no religious test for office, so Vivek Ravaswamy's Hinduism can't be the basis for excluding him, just as Obama's Islamic faith didn't preclude him from office. However, Constitution doesn't preclude considering where a person's faith leads their decision-making? Every candidate's faith has been weighed and measured throughout America's history (except Obama's, whose Islamic faith was considered off-limits). JFK's religion was a hot topic and he had to explain himself. Bush jr relied heavily on it. Trump's faith was continuously called into question. All these WEF-folks are slick-talkers. Yes WEF's Nimrata Randhawa Haley changed her name and her religion to pretend to be a Republican; that's what sleeper-cells often require. America can only take so many Manchurian leaders. Look at the utter destruction wrought by Obama and now his puppet Obiden? Enemies looting US-treasury, being given vast US-weaponry, economy ruined and a 15million-man foreign army Trojan-horsed right into America's heartland. US's destruction is being paid for by US. All because voter's aren't doing the background-checks Media no longer provides.

@TomNoyb literally one of the best comments ever. The smartest clearest summation. “America can only take so many Manchurian leaders”. “a 15million-man foreign army Trojan-horsed right into America’s heartland…” I could keep quoting…so amazing, the whole comment. Thanks for taking the time to collect your thoughts and post!

On 01-01-24 that comment is going to be hard to beat this year. "America can only take so many Manchurian leaders." That part alone doesn't just apply to America, it applies to every Western country and global parasite organization.

Nikki Haley 'was' actually right (about 0:30) in that "government" caused the War of Northern Aggression. As Vivek stated later, South Carolina was debating secession in 1832, because of the Tariffs imposed by the northern-controlled Congress. The Tariffs on iron/steel and textile imports into the south (which were competing with northern industries) became more onerous as the years passed. By 1860, the Tariffs were LITERALLY STRANGLING the economies of the southern states. -- Read "Lincoln Unmasked," by Thomas DiLorenzo
