The spiritual aspect of the law has to do with how it shows carnal(that is natural) men how to act like they would if they were spiritual. By showing men how to do unto others as they would like men to do to them. To love God and love others.

But, there was never a law given that could give life. Which is why it is not eternal. This is why Jesus said it is on love all the law and prophets hang. And is why Paul said the greatest in eternity is love. Because it is love and faith that only works by love, not the law, that joins us to God.
