Journey to the Fullness of Time; Gal. 4:4-5

Delivered during the Sunday Morning Worship Service, 12/24/2023. In his letter to the Galatians, Paul makes a profound statement about the Advent of Jesus Christ and the outcome of what we have called the Cosmic Initiative. In particular He tells them that Christ came "in the fullness of time". We will carefully analyze what Paul meant by this in a practical, historical, Theological and covenantal sense. We will also consider what it means that Christ was "born of a woman" and "born under the law"; as well as the glorious truths that He came to redeem those under the law so they might be adopted as heirs of the Kingdom. Ultimately on this Christmas Eve morning, we will realize that when we celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus, we are celebrating the Providential outcome of God's redemptive plan-- as we journey through history to the fullness of time.
