Reportedly, airstrikes, purportedly carried out by Israeli forces, struck locations in southern Syria and in proximity to Damascus on Thursday night in two distinct phases, as indicated by Syrian accounts.

According to Syria’s state news agency SANA, Israeli fighter jets executed airstrikes from above the Golan Heights, directing them towards sites in southern Syria, resulting in material damage.

The local Suwayda 24 news site conveyed that the airstrikes led to the destruction of a radar site linked to the Syrian Army at Tal al-Sahn, situated not far from the Syrian-Jordanian border.

No casualties were reported in connection with the strike. Additionally, Syrian air defenses were activated in the Damascus area during the strikes, although the specific targets in the Damascus region remain unclear.

Notably, the Tal al-Sahn site has allegedly been a recurrent target of Israeli airstrikes in the past, the Jerusalem Post reported.
