New Zealand Speedgolf Open 2023 - Round 1 Highlights - Beautiful Conditions on the Beach

⛳️ 4 Time Defending Champion Jamie Reid sprints to the clubhouse in 1st place shooting a 70 in just 32 minutes! Another Taranaki Local, Sam Jones, is close in tow in 3rd place shooting the low score of the day, 67 in 40 minutes. Notable Robin Smith comfortably in 2nd place shooting a 73 in 34. We were playing in soggy and rainy conditions and they still beat the Course with 5 clubs or less!

⛳️Rob Hogan, 2x Speedgolf World Champion and Communications Expert, shoots a 76 (+8) in just 33 minutes and 53 seconds, 3rd fastest of the day, placing him virtually tied in 5th with four others at the 109 Speedgolf Score.

⛳️Luke Willett - British SG Champ and Guinness World Record Holder - Shoots a 79 in just 39 minutes in Round 1 at the 2023 New Zealand Open. Luke's other achievements in the realm of golf and speedgolf are so impressive we can't list them all here!

⛳️ Scott Dawley, a true legend and pioneer of the sport, Shoots a 73 (+5) in 42 minutes and 43 seconds! I know that wasn't his best performance but a solid round in tough conditions puts him in 12th place.
