I sometimes wonder what the hell they're smoking at CDPR.

Honestly. If they wanted to change the look of the Dying Night pistol then that's just fine, they went to the trouble of adding the original look to a different weapon...

But then somewhere along the way the thought process short-circuited and they went, "Let's add an optical attachment that wasn't part of the original Dying Night, and make it permanent, so no matter what the player is stuck with it."

Yeah, great idea...
