- A Lehigh Acres Fire Commissioner accused of stealing from a local non-profit has been found guilty. Robert Anderson was found guilty for Grand Theft Thursday afternoon by a Lee County jury. In May 2016, Anderson allegedly stole five lawn mowers that the Lehigh Acres Fire District donated to the Habitat for Humanity. Anderson claimed he planned to refurbish the mowers to help local residents. The theft resulted in a loss of over $1,000 to the organization. Anderson will immediately be sentenced to 60 days in jail followed by two years of probation.
