逆轉心臟老化 50歲開始來的及

人體最重要的器官非心臟莫屬,它控制著血液流動,身體任何器官、細胞等都無法缺少血液供給養分,否則便無法生存,因此照顧好心臟絕對是人人必要且須重視的課題。不過隨著年齡增長,連帶心臟功能下滑,令不少人提心吊膽,對此,台灣復健科醫師王思恒指出「1方法」,就算50歲後才開始執行,也能有效延緩老化速度。
年齡愈大,心臟肌肉會逐漸僵硬且失去彈性,導致心臟功能下滑,甚至產生心衰竭。王思恒指出,過去研究發現,終身訓練的69歲運動員心臟與年輕人一樣充滿彈性,不過「若是半路出家,50歲後才開始訓練,是否還來得及?」
該研究針對平均53歲的中年者進行測試,以循序漸進方式將運動量增加到每週5至6小時,運動項目則以個人喜好決定,例如跑步、腳踏車、游泳等,訓練強度中高,每週並做2次高強度間歇訓練。
持續2年重新檢測身體數值,發現受試者不但最大攝氧量增加18%,更逆轉了左心室肌肉的硬化。根據此項研究,王思恒肯定表示「運動永遠不嫌晚」,不過他提醒,運動訓練要循序漸進、一步一步來,初接觸運動者可以從每天30分鐘開始,腳步先踩穩,後面才能跑更快。
