The general consensus of Canadians in Costa Rica is something that everybody should consider but it's not just Costa Rica where Canadians are flocking to. They are going to florida, El salvador, Costa rica, panama, Chile, brazil, the philippines, Thailand and Eastern burma.

Almost 75% of what we all make is taxed in Canada and there are places around the world where you can escape taxes all together. Also, in times of tyranny, there is always a geographic solution to problems which means relocation for a few years is something that the average person can actually do.

As it stands right now, Canada is only a great place to be if you work for the government and the reason being is that you will have a six-figure salary, benefits and a pension so long as the monetary system doesn't switch to Central Bank digital currency. You should never have a country where government employees make more than the private sector and in Canada government employees make almost double what people in the private sector are making.

There are a lot of Canadians who left because they were terrified of bank accounts being locked down and businesses being taken which is exactly what we have seen happen for the last three and a half to four years. There is no political solution to Canada's problems and because the only solution to Canada's problems is a full-blown revolution, it might be time to consider not being there.
