I went to Bethlehem in 2016 as part of a Bible study pilgrimage. We had a Christian tour guide who told us the same thing about the reduction in the number of Christians there. We did support the local economy by eating in a restaurant and shopping in a gift shop. We also got to see the birthplace of Jesus which was a beautiful memory.
