5th generation of Sukhoi Su-57 is already produced in Komsomolsk-on-Amur

The KnAAPO aviation plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur named after "J.A. Gagarin" has produced and delivered to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation the last batch of 5th generation Sukhoi Su-57 fighters under the production program for 2023.

According to the UAC press office in 2023, the Su-57 assembly line was set up in the context of increasing volumes of serial production of aircraft. Measures have also been taken to eliminate bottlenecks not only in the final assembly department, but throughout the entire production cycle. Problems with the supply of high-tech components from supplier factories are being successfully resolved, and opportunities for improving aircraft assembly technology are being worked out.
“Today we upgrade production. Already in 2024, a number of facilities will be put into operation as part of the implementation of future technical re-equipment projects under the state program for the development of the defense industry for the serial production of the Su-57 aircraft” - said UAC Director General Yuri Slyusar.
