As a longtime fan of Downton Abbey, I am watching Julian Fellowes newest series, The Gilded Age, for the first time.

In The Gilded Age season 1 episode 5, titled Charity Has Two Functions, we head to upstate New York for a Red Cross event in support of Clara Barton, Miss Turner and Oscar becomes aquatinted with each other, and Mrs. Russell is finally introduced to Ward McAllister, a close friend and advisor of Mrs. Astor.
