Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
Lemon wedges for serving
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat the Cast Iron Pan:
Preheat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until it's smoking hot.
Prepare Cajun Seasoning:
In a bowl, mix Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, thyme, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
Coat Salmon with Cajun Spice:
Rub the Cajun seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of each salmon fillet, ensuring a generous coating.
Heat the Cast Iron:
Add olive oil to the hot cast-iron skillet. Carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets in the skillet.
Blacken the Salmon:
Cook the salmon for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until a blackened crust forms, and the salmon is cooked through.
Garnish and Serve:
Remove the blackened Cajun salmon from the skillet. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
