Director Werner Herzog propelled his career forward with his 1972 film “Aguirre, The Wrath of God”, made under extremely challenging conditions, which included dealing with the talented and crazed star of the film, Klaus Kinski.
The film is about 16th Century Spanish explorers searching for the mythical golden city of El Dorado.
But was this city of gold just a myth? New evidence suggests there may be truth to the legends.
