When Money Becomes King was a Loosely based Allegory about the Legend and Career of Elvis Presley, who was Born into a Super Star right in front of America's Eyes, exploding Outwards with Lightning Energy in all of his Songs and Performances...Elvis gave us his Heart and Soul as he did ALL of it as a True Expression of himself, he did it for the Love of the Music, and for the Love of his Fans, rather than for the Love of Money...

But as Col. Parker took a Deeper hold upon Elvis' Performing Career, and the decisions became more and more about the Money, especially for Col. Parker, then the Songs SLOWLY began to weaken, as did the Performances, and by the end, it was all more about Col. Parker's Needs and 'Lite-Beer Commercials' than it was the HEART of Rock and Roll...

Now, WE KNOW that most of this was a Plan, devised by Elvis, allowing him to slow down his Public Life (with Plausible Deniability in Faking extra Body Weight and Injuries), and then adding Body DOUBLES to his Las Vegas Performances...allowing Elvis to perform at his PEAK, for all of his CLANDESTINE Work, which he actually Loved Best...however, within the confines of the Rock and Roll INDUSTRY, this is what we slowly saw more and more of, Wealthy and Famous Rock Stars, looking to take things 'Easier', while continuing to draw in even more wealth...again, I would argue that MOST of this was just Cover, like Elvis had done, but the Narrative was quite real, as was the Message...

MONEY Destroys the Integrity and Original Purpose in ALL THINGS it comes into contact with...writing Songs, creating Albums, going on Tour and Performing Live have NOTHING to do with Money, Fame and Fortune; rather, they have EVERYTHING to do with EXPRESSING OURSELVES from the INSIDE OUT, and Freely Sharing this TALENT with the rest of the World, as a Service from the Self to All Others...

And this is why Tom Petty wrote the Song, and SAVAGED everyone who participated in the Game of MONEY OVER INTEGRITY, because what is Produced out of these Circumstances is SHIT, no matter who is creating the Product...

MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL, as it separates us as Equals, with everyone else, creating an EVIL SYSTEM of Divide and Conquer, thru the Game of Hierarchies, where everyone does whatever they can in Life to be able to enter within these Higher Levels of STATUS, giving themselves greater access to THINGS, which they then use as physical examples of why they are BETTER than the rest of us (Division), versus than using their Talents to BRIDGE the Divide, and Help to Bring All of Us Closer to together and to God, as Roll the Rock Music originally intended to do...

No matter what the Art Form, when the ILLUSION of Superiority comes a-callin', in the form of Money, it is GAME OVER for INTEGRITY, HONESTY and AUTHENTICITY, which are the Essence of what Mankind truly is...Give Freely in Life and then Reap Eternally, what ye have Sown before God...
