Mrs. Sakina was born in Rajab in the year 47 AH, and her mother gave her the name “Sakina” for her calm and serenity. As for her real name, it was said: Umaima, Amina, or Umayyah. “Sakina” was the house of prophecy, the flower that bloomed in the guarded land.
She was a contemporary of her father, Al-Hussein, during periods of jihad and hardship, and she was a blessing to him.
The shrine of Mrs. Sakina is considered the first sight of the Prophet’s jewel in Egypt. Al-Ma’mun Al-Batahihi, the Fatimid Minister of Commander of God, created a shrine for her and built a dome on it after the year 510 AH. Mubarak referred to it in his plans and said, “It was established in Egypt in the Caliph neighborhood, from the north of Al-Zahid to Al-Qarafa Al-Sughra.” ,
Khedive Abbas Hilmi II ordered its renewal in the year 1322 AH, and it now has three doors other than the main one, two on the street, and the third is the accepted door on the tribal side, opening onto the Kurdish path.
