Rep. Laurel Lee Accuses Biden Administration of Turning Border Patrol Agents into "Travel Agents"

Rep. Lee argued that the Biden administration's border policies have created a crisis in the United States. She expressed concern that Border Patrol agents, who are ready to enforce laws and protect the country, are being assigned tasks like distributing blankets and acting as "travel agents" to facilitate the entry of people into the country.

One of the congresswoman's primary concerns is the lack of information about the identities and destinations of illegal immigrants entering the United States. She highlighted that some individuals might be on the terror watch list, further emphasizing the potential dangers associated with the current border situation.

The criticism comes in the wake of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announcing new data for November, revealing that 17 individuals on the FBI's terror watch list attempted to enter the United States illegally. The same month saw over 242,000 encounters with illegal immigrants at the southern border, marking the third-highest monthly total.
