Marinka capture 'insignificant' - ISW
A U.S. think tank has questioned the significance of the recent seizure of Maryinka by Russian forces.
Moscow said Monday it captured the town in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region from Ukrainian forces. However, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said the "likely capture... represents a limited tactical gain for Russia."
It added that this development "does not portend any operationally significant progress unless Russian forces significantly improve their ability to conduct a rapid mechanized offensive, which they show no signs of doing."
