SUMMARY
-Symbols have different meanings based on culture and personal experience. Although some have general meanings that apply to everyone. One must consider the context of the dream and how the symbolism correlates.
-Biblical dream symbols
To find the meaning of a symbol we refer to the bible to see how and where it is used and what it represents.
Snake- the serpent in the garden of Eden. In revelation, it is called the old serpent that misleads the world. It also represents poison (Deuteronomy 32:33).
Moses made a bronze snake and the symbolism predicted the death of Jesus at the cross. The rod of Moses.
-Animal dream symbols
A snail represents slow progress and the spirit of sloth in your life. We draw the meaning of the symbol from its natural behavior.
A Chameleon can shift colors and therefore it represents a person who is not trustworthy. The symbol means slow progress.
A pig in a dream symbol – they love living in mud and symbolize you living in sin.
A dog symbol represents the spirit of fornication. We consider its mating behavior. The symbolism also means to backslide.
-Number symbols in a dream
Number seven is the number of perfections, and Number 2 symbolizes unity.
-Nature or landscape symbols
A mountain symbolizes problems based on the context. It can also represent wealth (psalms 50:10)
The river symbol- represents the flow of life and progress.
Valley symbol – it represents a season of depression and hardship.

-The meaning of symbols in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream
Head of the gold symbol – represented the kingdom of Babylon
Chest and arms of silver symbol – represented the Medo-Persian empire
Belly and thighs of bronze symbol – represented the Grecian empire
The legs of the iron symbol – represented the Roman Empire.
Feet of partly iron and clay symbol- represented the divided kingdoms.
