Es una película que está bien ajustada a Las Sagradas Escrituras, basada en Hechos de los Apóstoles( Libro, escrito por el evangelista Lucas; un fiel discípulo y acompañante del Apóstol en sus viajes) y en algunos pasajes de las cartas del Apóstol. La película narra cómo Pablo, llamado Saulo de Tarso antes de su conversión, de ser un empedernido perseguidor a los primeros creyentes del Señor Jesucristo a ser uno de los Apóstoles más ferviente divulgador del Evangelio que el mismo Señor Jesucristo le había revelado.
La película comienza con el apedreamiento de Esteban(El primer mártir), siendo aprobado en ese momento por Saulo de Tarso. Después de este episodio, Saulo le pide cartas de aprobación a los sacerdotes de Jerusalén para ir a Damasco para arrestar a los cristianos de esa ciudad y en el camino se le aparece el Señor Jesús, una luz más brillante que sol los rodea a Saulo y sus acompañantes y el Señor Jesús se dirige a Saulo, diciendo: Saulo..Saulo. ¿Por qué me persigues?. Entra a la ciudad y te dirán lo que debes hacer. Ananías, un siervo del Señor que vivía en Damasco fue enviado para que ore por Saulo y le devuelva la vista. A partir de ahí, Saulo cambió su nombre a Pablo y empezó su ministerio..
