DIY Painted Colonial Bookshelf

Made this as a gift and decided to try a painted bookshelf this time. I chose MDF because it seemed like the best option for painting. Spraying latex paint was definitely a learning curve. I failed a few times because I didn't realize I needed a wider tip than what I had in spray guns. I found a spray gun that mentioned it was specifically for latex paint. I still used latex paint conditioner to make sure it sprayed and leveled better. Painting by hand with rollers and brushes is definitely easier so if you don't have the means of spraying latex paint you can still easily make this yourself.
