The US military carried out airstrikes on three facilities used by the Iraq-based Kataib Hezbollah and affiliated groups last night after an attack injured three US troops, leaving one in critical condition.
The Iran-backed militant group had claimed responsibility for the attack on the American soldiers.
Kataib Hezbollah is an Iranian-sponsored, anti-American Shiite militia operating in Iraq.
In 2009, the US declared it as a terrorist organisation.
The attacks come amid the Israel-Hamas war.
