Indian Army Chief, General Manoj Pande, visited Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district to assess the security situation following a recent targeted terror attack.

The visit is part of an ongoing anti-terror operation initiated after a targeted attack resulted in the death of four soldiers in Poonch district the previous week.

During the visit, General Pande received updates on the prevailing security conditions and interacted with commanders on the ground. He emphasized the need for professional conduct and urged steadfastness against all challenges.

After assessing the Poonch sector, the Army Chief flew to the 25 Infantry Division headquarters in Rori, where he was briefed by ground commanders about the overall security situation.

In response to the security concerns, mobile and internet services were suspended in both Poonch and Rori districts for a third day as a precautionary measure to prevent rumors and maintain law and order.
