A former TV news anchor whose journalist girlfriend was fatally shot during a live broadcast in 2015 was elected Tuesday to the Virginia legislature. Democrat Chris Hurst, 30, unseated Republican and three-time incumbent Joseph Yost in the race for the 12th District House of Delegates seat.
