November CPI Hits 3.1% as Shelter Inflation Remains Sticky

The Consumer Price Index for the month of November hit 3.1% year over year, roughly in line with market expectations, despite the month over month number coming in at 0.1%, slightly above expectations. Declines in energy prices were more than offset by increases in shelter cost as rents and housing prices continue to skew the index higher.
