Super Mario Bros Merry Mountain Christmas Adventure, other than being a long title, is a remake of an old Christmas themed romhack by Nowleso with help from Bensalot. But rather than simply being Super Mario World: Christmas Edition with better visuals, these guys went above and beyond to provide a fresher experience than the old. After an Ice Witch captures 5 holiday stars, it's up to Mario, Luigi, Peach, and a Toad to get them back or else Christmas will be ruined forever! What makes this hack cool is that, in the world map, you can switch between our 4 heroes and tackle a stage as any one! Not only do they each have different abilities a la Mario 2, but they even get a different kind of Tanuki transformation upon getting a leaf (Purely Cosmetic), as well as different ways they throw a fireball via a fire flower!

As Christmas Eve is upon us, we see the full extent of the Ice Witch's evil. Not only do we have to become a Snow Cart, which is a Donkey Kong Country Minecart stage with Mario World physics, but we must also venture through a destroyed town that for some reason is a AUTOSCROLLER!! We also activate the Red Switch, the final switch that will allow us to take a shortcut straight to the final level if we return to the world 3 split. But when have I ever been smart and taken a shortcut?
