There are at least three regular instruments that can help you get the BFG on a custom Quake III Arena map called SonicBoil (SONICBOIL) by ZaRR. These instruments are: Rocket Launcher, Grappling Hook and the Flight power-up. This video shows you how to use them to grab the regular BFG10K that spawns on the level.
